Dark brown in color, this monster of a beer smells of roasted coffee and chocolate. The taste is much of the same, with hints of creamy toffee and roasted malts. Smooth and delicious, the Buried Hatchet is all about the malts, but has enough hop bitterness to be nicely balanced.
