The Altbier (literally "old beer") is one of a few German Ales and one that has become the house favorite at Prost’s Biergarten. Traditionally, Altbiers are conditioned for longer than normal periods of time to mellow out the Ales fruitiness and to promote a smoother, more delicate style brew. Copper in color, Prost’s Altbier has a slight hop presence, clean flavor, and a dry finish with great balance from beginning to end. Altbier may be a lesser known German bier style, but Prost proves it is every bit as delicious as the hailed Hefeweizen or Pilsner.

Bratwurst with Apples, Onion & Sauerkraut
Oktoberfest fans, here's your dish. Wondra flour, which dissolves quickly to prevent lumps from forming, is what helps thicken the juices in this fall classic. You'll find it at the supermarket. Pair with an Altbier.
