An up-and-coming baseball-themed craft brewery in Fort Bend County, Texas, Texas Leaguer Brewing Company offers all-star beers for the community’s sports fans.

“Who would have thought my two hobbies would become my profession?” Nathan Rees asked himself. Nathan and his wife Elise are the founders and owners of Texas Leaguer Brewing Company, a sports-centric craft brewery in Missouri City, Texas that opened its doors in September of 2017. The couple has happily fused their passions for baseball and beer with the opening of their brewery, which is on track to become quite the successful entity in Fort Bend County.

Nathan Rees, a singer/songwriter and Fort Bend County resident, was an avid homebrewer with lots of friends in the Houston, Texas beer scene. He is also a lifelong Houston Astros fan and has always enjoyed how watching baseball games brings people together. When the idea clicked that Nathan and Elise could bring their two passions together, they were all in. Their vision of creating a vintage baseball-themed craft brewery with high quality, distinctive beers has done quite well in Missouri City, where it stands as the city’s first - and only - craft brewery.

The 12,000 square foot space includes a lively tap room with communal picnic tables that allow visitors to see production tanks and brewing activity up close and personal. Just outside the large bay doors is an expansive patio with additional seating and lounge spaces for gathering with friends. In a corner of the taproom sits a large projector screen that visitors enjoy gathering around on big game days.

The baseball theme is all over the taproom, as the cheekily named beers are listed on a big green baseball scoreboard that sits right above the taps. Cleverly, they feature a lineup of ‘home side’ beers (Texas Leaguer’s original brews) and ‘visitor side’ beers (the alternating taps and weekly new additions to the taproom). This family-friendly space also offers a Little Leaguer Root Beer for the kids, or for those young at heart.

As far as food offerings, Texas Leaguer always has rotating food trucks parked outside, so visitors can come, unwind, and stay a while.

While the brewery is certainly a hit with sports fans (the place is packed on game days), it’s appealing to all craft beer lovers who are enjoying the great community atmosphere and premium beers on tap. There isn’t another craft brewery around for miles, so beer fans in the immediate area are pretty thrilled with the opening.

We’re happy to introduce our Craft Beer Club members to Texas Leaguer Brewing Company - a brewery that’s hitting it out of the park. Enjoy!
