Saucony Creek Brewing Co.

A forward-thinking craft brewery fashioning adventurous beers for adventurous people

Founded by Kutztown, Pennsylvania native Matt Lindenmuth in 2013, Saucony Creek Brewing Company is a small, locally inspired craft brewery specializing in authentic, small batch creations with an adventurous/rebellious spirit. Despite its tiny town presence, there is a world of passion and experience dripping from each Saucony Creek sip.

Prior to starting Saucony Creek, Matt Lindenmuth spent seventeen years as a professional extreme sports athlete that took him from country to country where artful inspiration, diverse cultures, and unique individuals were around every corner. He soaked it all up and particularly felt inspired by the craft beer scene in Belgium. Fast forward through U.S. Snowboard Team training, Guinness World Records, NBC’s Gravity Games and a collection of injuries, it was time to leave the X Games and action sports career behind and begin another one. Matt decided to take his long standing hobby of homebrewing to the next level and began the formal process of launching Saucony Creek Brewing Company in his hometown of Kutztown, Pennsylvania.

In 2013, Saucony Creek officially opened its doors, initially brewing beers almost exclusively for distribution. There was a small retail store attached to the brewery where customers could purchase beer, but it wasn’t until 2015 when the brewery obtained its on-premise consumption license that plans were made to open a gastropub. The gastropub opened in early 2016, offering beer samples, flights, pints, brewery tours, and take-out beer - plus a crafty, farm-totable food menu utilizing ingredients from local farms and creameries. It has already proven to be a great success.

Saucony Creek beers are made by Master Brewer Nick Micio who earned his brewing degree at The American Brewer’s Guild. Nick has worked across the country for such breweries as Russian River Brewing, Moat Mountain Brewing, Fegley’s Brew Works, and Weyerbacher Brewing. He joined the family at Saucony Creek in the fall of 2014, bringing with him a wealth of knowledge and experience. His efforts have already resulted in prestigious medals and awards for the expertly crafted, small-batch Saucony Creek beers.
