Islamorada Beer Company
Located in the heart of the Florida Keys, Islamorada Beer Company crafts high quality, locally-inspired beers that bring an ‘Island State of Mind.’
The only brewery AND distillery in the Florida Keys, Islamorada Beer Company is crafting quality local craft beer with session-style drinkability to complement their island lifestyle. Home to gorgeous beaches, bountiful fishing, and great people, the Florida Keys offers a unique laid back and friendly atmosphere - the perfect place for a craft brewery to embody an island state of mind.
Islamorada Beer Company was founded in 2013 by four former college friends Tyrone Bradley, Jose Herrera, Nik Schroth, and Chris Trentine. After attending Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, the friends turned their homebrewing hobby and passion for the Florida Keys island lifestyle into a successful business venture. Rather than following in line with other craft breweries that were releasing big and heavy craft beers, their idea was to brew a beer that not only tasted good, but also captured the easy going, always-warm-and-sunny lifestyle that they had always enjoyed in the Keys.
The brewery is located on the Island of Islamorada, which is referred to as the sport fishing capital of the world (with the long-standing reputation of being a drinking town with a fishing problem). Here, the outdoors are your playground and Islamorada Beer Company has been a welcome addition to the island. The brewery has an impressive collection of sixty different craft beers, with names such as Sandbar Sunday, Channel Marker, No Tan Lines, and No Wake Zone.
Islamorada Beer Company opened a second location in Fort Pierce in 2016, where the 25,000 square foot production facility now stands. The expansion allowed the brewery to grow by 75,000 gallons a year and also brought space for a canning and bottling line. Visitors can catch a glimpse of how the beer is kegged, bottled, or canned, while also enjoying a freshly tapped beer in the tasting room.
All of the beers at Islamorada Beer Company are lighter-bodied and seasonal, meaning they are ‘session style,’ well-balanced and refreshing. We are happy to share two of Islamorada Beer Company’s most popular offerings with our Craft Beer Club members. Cheers!
