Grand Teton Brewing Co.
The original brewery of Idaho's Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks
Committed to crafting only the highest quality Ales and Lagers, Grand Teton Brewing Company is located within Victor, Idaho in the great Teton Valley. Home to some of the world's best malting barley, and close to Southern Idaho's renowned hop farms, Teton Valley is an ideal location for brewing world class craft beers.
Grand Teton Brewing Company was originally founded in 1988 by Charlie and Ernie Otto as the Otto Brothers' Brewing Company. The name change occurred in 2000, helping to portray a more regional and recognizable name, while still maintaining a proud history and tradition. In 2008, the brewery was purchased by Steve and Ellen Furbacher, who saw it as an opportunity to create their own family business and establish a legacy in Teton Valley (while drinking really good beer). It is because of Steve and Ellen that the Grand Teton has become the significant, award-winning brewery that it is today.
The Furbachers were from the Midwest and enjoyed escaping to their vacation home in Teton Valley. Steve was the President and COO of the Texas Dynegy energy company and Ellen worked as a skilled speech pathologist for eight years. They were only retired a year before the "for sale" ad of Grand Teton Brewing Company caught their attention.
Since acquiring the brewery, the couple's efforts have not gone unnoticed, increasing production and sales, while recruiting a new wave of highly skilled employees and brewers. Their collection of outstanding signature brews has even made them one of the Top 100 Craft Breweries in North America, by the prestigious Brewer's Association. We hope you enjoy two of their most popular brews Cheers!
