Cape Ann Brewing Company
Dedicated to the spirit and courage of fisherman in the North Atlantic, Cape Ann Brewing Company is a small craft brewery with a big heart
Founded in 2004, Cape Ann Brewing Company is an award-winning, family owned microbrewery in the heart of the historic seaport in downtown Gloucestor, Massachusettes. Head brewer and co-founder Jeremy Goldberg began his journey into professional brewing as a home-brewer and broker on Wall Street.
After September 11, 2001, Goldberg was looking for a change and embarked upon a 38 brewery and 40 day micro-brewery cross-country tour to film the documentary, American Beer. Upon his return, Goldberg knew the brewing industry was in his future, and six months later, along with his father and his brother-in-law, had begun preparation for the opening of Cape Ann Brewing Company.
In May of 2004, Cape Ann released its inaugural offering of Fisherman's Brew. The bold flavors and characters of the Fisherman's line of beers reflect the spirit and courage of the sailors of the North Atlantic fishing fleet, and it is the same passion that has made Cape Ann the microbrewery it is today.
In addition to its fine micro brews, Cape Ann also known for supporting the Northeast Seafood Coalition, a non-profit dedicated to protecting fishery resources and aiding local fisherman.
