As one of the longest existing alcoholic beverages around, beer is still being enjoyed by millions of individuals worldwide. Popular for its intriguing flavors and inebriating effects, reasonable beer drinking is now known to have some benefits for your health.

This may be enough for some of you to hear and run to the nearest brewery, but others may be wondering why is this the case for beer and heart disease? The reason is that beer is rich in polyphenols! For those wondering what these are, polyphenols are compounds found naturally in plants that offer health benefits including digestive health, brain health, heart health, type 2 diabetes, and some cancers.
So what other ingredients and fun benefits does craft beer have to offer?

It's shown that beer also has the ability to clean your teeth by preventing the formation and growth of bacteria on the teeth by blocking communication pathways between them. Last but not least, beer can reduce the likelihood of getting kidney stones; HOWEVER, excessive drinking will have the exact opposite effect, so once again moderation is key!
Of course, excessive alcohol consumption can drastically affect your overall health in a negative way.
What constitutes excessive consumption compared to the acceptable amount?

All in all, remember to drink your beer in moderation, and get your butt down to the nearest craft brewery, I mean because it’s for your health, ya know!
Cheers to good health!
